Evans, Luce and DEHS Recognized by National Litigation Publication

November 13, 2007

DEHS and two of its litigators, Ed Evans and Mike Luce, have been recognized by a new national publication as among the best in the field of civil litigation.

In its recently published inaugural edition, Benchmark: Litigation identified DEHS as one of three “highly recommended” litigation firms in South Dakota. The publication said “peers unanimously agreed” that DEHS is one of the state’s best and said the firm is recognized for a “uniquely broad-based practice” and “strengths in a number of different areas.”

Evans and Luce were selected as “local litigation stars.” The publication reported that peers said there was “no doubt” that Evans is “one of the state’s leading litigators.” Luce was “praised as a top-notch and ‘brilliant’ litigator.” Evans focuses his litigation practice on the defense of medical malpractice cases and other professional liability claims. Luce was recognized for his defense of engineering companies and architects facing construction claims, as well as his experience as a mediator and in alternative dispute resolution.

Benchmark, published by Institutional Investor, focuses exclusively on litigation attorneys in the United States. Firms cannot pay to be recommended by the publication. Instead, all its recommendations are the result of extensive face-to-face and telephone interviews with leading private practice lawyers and in-house counsel conducted between October 2006 and May 2007.
