Gebhart Speaks At Regional Business Conference
DEHS attorney Tim Gebhart presented three sessions on immigration enforcement at the Central Plains Professional Dairy Business Conference in Sioux Falls November 16.
The presentation, titled “The ICEman Cometh: Preparing for Increased Worksite Immigration Enforcement,” dealt with suggestions for employers in light of the increasing use of criminal actions in immigration enforcement. Gebhart’s sessions also focused on forms just released by the federal government every employer must complete for new employees and proactive steps employers can take to ensure compliance with federal law and protect their businesses.
The Central Plains Dairy Association has members in the dairy industry from Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota. DEHS attorneys are available to make presentations to business and trade organizations on a large variety of legal topics, including employment law, business law and immigration policies.
