Seven members of Davenport, Evans, Hurwitz & Smith, LLP, were selected for inclusion in the 2007 edition of Great Plains Super Lawyers. One of those, Ed Evans, was also recognized as among Top 25 lawyers in North Dakota, South Dakota and Nebraska.

The publication is a listing of outstanding lawyers in more than 60 practice areas. The seven DEHS lawyers were selected in 16 different practice areas. They are:

P. Daniel Donohue – Estate Planning & Probate, Real Estate and Business/Corporate

Edwin E. Evans – Personal Injury Defense: Medical Malpractice, Professional Liability: Defense, and Business Litigation

Mark W. Haigh – Personal Injury Defense: Medical Malpractice and Personal Injury Defense: General

Robert E. Hayes – Bankruptcy & Creditor/Debtor Rights, Real Estate, and Schools & Education

David L. Knudson – Banking, Health Care, and Mergers & Acquisitions

Sarah Richardson Larson – Estate Planning & Probate and Elder Law

Michael L. Luce – Business Litigation, Civil Litigation Defense, and Alternative Dispute Resolution

Super Lawyers magazine uses a multi-step process to identify the top attorneys, starting with a statewide survey of lawyers who have been in practice for at least five years and including independent research and a peer evaluation process. Only five percent of the total lawyers in a state are selected for inclusion in the publication.
