Applications are being accepted for the Davenport, Evans, Hurwitz & Smith Scholarship program, which awards $15,000 in scholarships each year.
Applicants must be a senior in high school in Brookings, Lake, Lincoln, McCook, Minnehaha, Moody or Turner Counties and enroll in a public or private South Dakota post-secondary institution to pursue a four-year accredited program. Four $2,500 scholarships are awarded together with five $1,000 scholarships.
Scholarship recipients are selected by an independent panel chosen by the Sioux Falls Area Foundation. Since beginning the scholarship program, the law firm has awarded 180 scholarships totaling $300,000.
Applications are due no later than February 15, 2008, and are available at high school counselor offices or through the link below.
