Charles Gullickson served as chair of the Planning Committee for the 16th Annual Legal Seminar held by the National Organization of Life and Health Insurance Guaranty Associations (NOLHGA) in Boston, Massachusetts, on July 17 and 18, 2008. Gullickson also served as master of ceremonies for the day and a half seminar, and Gullickson is a member of NOLHGA's Legal Committee.
Speakers at the seminar included Michael T. McRaith, Director of the Illinois Division of Insurance, former Oklahoma Governor Frank Keating who is now President of the American Council of Life Insurers, Tom Collins, who serves as Special Master for insurance company receiverships in Texas, and Thomas Workman, who is President of the Life Insurance Council of New York.
Gullickson is Executive Director and General Counsel of the South Dakota Life and Health Insurance Guaranty Association and also a member of NOLHGA's Board of Directors. As a member of the firm's Financial Institutions Practice Group, Gullickson's practice includes insurance regulatory work in addition to banking and financial services matters.
