Each summer associate has a supervising attorney from both the law firm's litigation and business sections to help see to it that the summer associate gets a realistic glimpse of the practice of law over the course of the summer. Summer associates work with attorneys throughout the firm conducting legal research and drafting substantive legal memoranda, briefs and other documents. They also are encouraged to accompany attorneys to and attend a variety of legal matters, such as closings, court hearings, depositions and trials.
