Kathy Ford of Davenport Evans was recently elected to the Board of Directors of the Brandon Community Foundation.
The Brandon Community Foundation is a permanent, charitable endowment established to benefit worthy activities in the Brandon, S.D., area. The Foundation provides grants to projects and organizations in matters such as the arts and humanities, community affairs and development, education and youth, the environment, and health. Grant recipients have ranged from the Volunteers of America and the Make A Wish Foundation to the Brandon Fire Department, schools and athletic associations.
Ford, who resides in Brandon, joined the law firm's litigation section in 2009 after serving as associate general counsel and director of legal affairs for Knology, Inc. She previously was an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of South Dakota and associate general counsel at QWEST Communications. Kathy also previously served on the Brandon City Council.
