Brendan Reilly, one of the real estate lawyers at Davenport Evans, recently discussed the status of commercial leasing in the Sioux Falls market with the Sioux Falls Argus Leader.
Reilly, who joined the firm in 1998, sat down with local business reporter Rob Swenson to give "an insider's vantage point in a key sector of the area's economy." The discussion was the topic of Swenson's regular Sunday column in the June 20 Argus Leader.
There are opportunities and disadvantages for both landlords and tenants in the current commercial real estate market, according to Reilly. Although more opportunities may exist for tenants, he told Swenson, both parties need to exercise counsel and judgment in entering into transactions.
In addition to real estate law, Reilly is engaged in general corporate and business law, from the formation of new legal entities to the merger or purchase of existing companies. He is also a member of the Downtown Development Committee of Downtown Sioux Falls and the Sioux Falls Area Chamber of Commerce Small Business Council.
