Davenport Evans Associates Vanessa Rollins, Elizabeth Hertz and Matt Van Heuvelen were recently admitted to practice law in South Dakota after passing the State Bar Exam in February.
Vanessa, who specializes in Intellectual Property matters as a member of the firm’s Business Transactions practice group, received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology in 1993 at the University of Utah and her JD from the University of Notre Dame Law School in 1996. She is also admitted to practice in Utah and California, and is a registered Patent Attorney licensed to practice before the United States Patent Office.
Elizabeth, a member of the firm’s Professional Negligence Litigation practice group, received her Bachelor of Arts degree from Macalester College in 2004 and her JD from the University of Michigan in 2009. Elizabeth served as a Judicial Law Clerk for the Hon. James B. Loken, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit prior to joining the firm. She is also admitted to practice in Minnesota.
Matt, a member of the firm’s Tax, Employee Benefits, Estates and Trusts practice group, received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Northwestern College in 2007 and his JD from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2010. He is also admitted to practice in Iowa.
