Davenport Evans is pleased to welcome the summer associate class of 2011. Davenport Evans has a long history of hiring associates who have participated in the firm’s summer associate program, and the firm seeks to provide summer associates with a broad range of legal experiences. This year’s summer associate class includes Jaclyn Aberson, Anna Narem, and Sarah Zinter.
Jaclyn Aberson grew up in Brookings, South Dakota and attended Augustana College, receiving her B.A. in Philosophy and Religion in 2005. Following graduation, Jaclyn began the Management Associate Program with Citi. Upon completion of the program, she joined the Citi Cards Compliance team. Currently, Jaclyn is attending law school at the University of South Dakota School of Law. She is a member of the Moot Court Board and will function as its Business Manager during 2011-2012. Jaclyn also serves as Research Assistant to Professor Patrick Garry. Jaclyn will graduate from law school in May 2012.
Anna Narem grew up on a farm in northeast South Dakota near Wilmot. After high school, she attended the University of South Dakota and earned her undergraduate degree in Spanish. Currently, she attends Indiana University where she is pursuing a joint JD/MBA degree at the Maurer School of Law and the Kelley School of Business. Anna will receive her degree in May 2012. She travels as much as her budget allows and has language skills in Spanish, Portuguese, and French.
Sarah Zinter grew up in Pierre, South Dakota. She attended the University of North Dakota where she earned a B.A. in Business and Marketing. Sarah worked for the South Dakota Department of Health in the area of Health Information Technology before returning to school. She currently attends the University of South Dakota School of Law. As a first year student, she reached the final round of competition in the Sam Masten Moot Court Competition, arguing before the South Dakota Supreme Court. Sarah is a member of the Moot Court Board and has competed in tournaments around the country. In the fall of 2010 she placed 5th in the Pepperdine University School of Law National Entertainment Law Moot Court Competition and was awarded a 3rd place brief award. Sarah will graduate in May 2012 with a Juris Doctorate.
