Davenport, Evans, Hurwitz & Smith partner Jonathan P. Brown recently spoke at a seminar on buying and selling businesses.
Brown, the head of the firm’s Business Practice Group, served as an expert panelist on the topic of sale opportunities and strategies at the event held by Eide Bailly. The Transitions and Transactions Seminar is one of a series of discussions related to the environment for business transitions and transactions in the Upper Midwest and throughout the country. The event was designed to provide Eide Bailly clients with information about what companies and advisors can expect to see for the remainder of 2011 and into 2012.
Brown’s law practice focuses on assisting clients in the negotiation of contracts for the sale of their businesses and in the acquisition of new businesses. He also helps clients in setting up corporations, limited liability companies, and partnerships, and is involved in general contract preparation and business planning for firm clients.
