P. Daniel Donohue

Dan is requested by peers and clients for his expertise in probate and trust law, particularly in the complex area of trust administration and dynasty trusts. He is not only a Fellow in the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel, he serves on the South Dakota Governor’s Task Force on Trust Law Reform. But Dan does more than just assist clients with estate planning and trusts. Clients rely on him for his experience in real estate law, where he is a member of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers, and in advising small and large business corporations. As a result of his experience, Dan is listed in The Best Lawyers in America in Real Estate Law, The Best Lawyers in America in Trusts & Estates Law, and Who’s Who in American Lawyers.

Dan has long been committed to community involvement, serving on the board of directors for numerous community organizations, including the Children’s Care Foundation and the Sanford Health Foundation. Enumerating just the boards for which he has served as president indicates the breadth of that commitment: Habitat for Humanity of Greater Sioux Falls, Sioux Council (Boy Scouts of America), Junior Achievement of South Dakota, Dakota Gold Soccer Club USA, and the Sioux Falls Catholic School Foundation Board of Trustees.
